Belle Creek Charter School is a Core Knowledge school nestled in the charming community of Belle Creek in Henderson, Colorado. Belle Creek provides its students a rich and immersive learning experience in kindergarten through eighth grade. In addition, K-3 students are taught using the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is direct, explicit, systematic, and sequential instruction incorporating multi-sensory learning. This instruction aligns with the Science of Reading.
What support does BCCS offer teachers and students?
We provide several levels of support for students and teachers by having grade-level instructional paraprofessionals, a Dean of Students for behavior support and coaching, and a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for mentorship and support. For additional support, we have Gifted & Talented and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Education Coordinators and a Literacy Specialist. Additionally, we have a Special Education team that includes special service providers for Speech and Language, Occupational and Physical Therapy, and a comprehensive mental health team.

Our building recently expanded, including a state-of-the-art performance stage, art room, life skills classroom, and a science lab. We also added an inviting staff lounge with a patio for our staff to enjoy. Salary Range:
The hiring salary for a teacher with a bachelor’s degree begins at $55,000/yr to $66,000/yr (11 years of experience). A teacher with a master’s degree begins at $57,000/yr to $72,000/yr (11 years of experience)

Required Qualifications:
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
- Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualification to teach the posted subject area.
- The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
- The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
- The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on.)
- A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
