Teach in Telluride

Telluride School District is looking for on call substitutes, including part time, and permanent substitutes.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
All candidates will need to submit fingerprints for a background check
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Substitute Authorization
Salary:
- $150/day for non-certified teacher subs holding a valid Substitute Teaching authorization
- $170/day for certified teacher subs holding a valid Teaching License or a Five Year Substitute Teacher authorization which is only available to prior certified teachers.
- $170/day for all long term subs, non-certified or certified holding a valid authorization or license.
Substitutes will be interviewed on an ongoing basis and hired based on the following characteristics and experiences:
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and implement effective classroom management skills
- Ability to follow directions left by classroom teacher
- Ability to think on their feet and work in a collaborative manner to engage children and manage behaviors in the classroom
- Caring person who wants to see the youth of the day challenged and provided unique opportunities for growth and learning
- Life experiences that can lend themselves to educating our children.
- Ability to use technology
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow all policies, rules and procedures to which regulatr teachers are subject
- Comply with all building and safety procedures and schedules
NEW: $300 Substitute Teacher Stipend
To be eligible for the $300 stipend, individuals must:
- Obtain a valid Colorado substitute authorization APPLY ONLINE
- Register and attend a 2 hour Substitute Boot Camp via Zoom
- Work a minimum of one day as a substitute
