The Weld Re-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado is hiring for s High School Language Arts teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the instruction of students in 9th-12th grade.
Duties:
- Develop course content in relation to the Colorado Academic Standards
- Plan, organize, and implement effective instructional strategies and lessons
- Monitor and evaluate student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues in department and building level administration
- Develop individualized lessons and programs for students as needed
- Communicate students’ academic progress and needs with appropriate stakeholders
- Administer, edit, proofread, and grade student work in a timely manner
- Additional job-related duties as assigned
Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a teaching certification is preferred. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. The Weld Re-9 School District is willing to work with candidates to provide alternative pathways to the classroom including alternative teacher licensure programs (bachelors degree in any field required), adjunct authorizations (5+ years of work experience in the field the candidate will teach), and emergency or teacher of record authorizations (for individuals currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program). Salary and Benefits: Salary range is $44,300-$58,100 per year AS OF THE TIME OF THIS POSTING (SALARY SCHEDULES ARE UPDATED IN LATE SPRING) depending on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development credits.
